dRPC organizes high level advocacy dialogue on routine immunization in Nigeria

The development Research and Projects Center (dRPC), under the Partnership for Advocacy in Child and Family Heath, At Scale, PACFaH@Scale, is organizing a one-day high-level strategic dialogue on Advocacy and Accountability on Routine Immunization in Nigeria.

The event, which is organized in conjunction with the National Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria (NACHPN) is to strengthen the accountability framework for routine immunization service delivery as national and state levels.

In a statement signed by the Communications Specialist of the project, Malam Hassan Aliyu Karofi, and made available to newsmen in Abuja, revealed that the high level meeting is an important initiative being support by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as part of the continuous efforts towards attaining the objectives of the Nigeria’s strategy for Immunization and Primary Health care system strengthening, (NSIPSS) 2018 – 2028.

He added that currently, the National Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria, NACHPN is taking the lead amongst PAS CSOs and professional associations in convening of PAS/ CSOs and state RI focal persons from the PAS states of Kano, Kaduna, Niger and Lagos states.

‘The reason behind the dialogue is to explore the mechanisms for Civil Society engagement; and to examine and create an understanding of the new roles and expectations for states under the NSIPSS project.’
